ARTIST STATEMENT

My artwork combines the use of brushes, sandpaper, sponges, cloths, dripping, squirting, rubbing, and blotting water-based paints. I slowly build layers of evolving patterns and shapes which reveal an interior self-scape and intuitive expressions of unconscious emotion.

BACKGROUND

My artwork is represented by The Sweet Art Gallery, Naples, FL.

The Naples Ritz Carlton Spa Shop exhibited my work exclusively from 2009 through 2011. The West Wing Art Gallery, Naples Regional Library is hosting a solo show of my recent work. The Osborn.Lizio Contemporary Gallery of Naples, FL represented my paintings in January, April and May 2009. In addition, several of my works were selected by Jack O'Brien, Curator of Naples von Liebig Art Center for Finding the Image, Artists Exploring the Creative Process, a group show at Physicians Regional Medical Center from December 2007 through May 2008.

In 2006, my four-month solo exhibition at the Royal Palm Bank, Naples, FL culminated in being the featured artist in NAPLES ILLUSTRATED, July 2006. More recently my work was published in the Fall issue of BONITA LIVING. Selected as one of the artists for the Naples Museum of Art Spring Gala 2011 and 2012, my work is auctioned as part of the Museum's fundraising efforts.

As a marketing executive and entrepreneur, I am an energetic self-starter. My skills at planning and creative problem-solving both come into play in my studio. There I find a perfect fit between my solo activities inherent in the artist's profession and my passion for art.

My work is in serveral private collections in Florida, Colorado, Massachusetts and Canada.
